What are the Priority and Proposed Solution fields in the RFIs tool? (Coming Soon)

Background

The 'Priority' and 'Proposed Solutions' fields are the latest additions to the field set for the RFIs tool in Procore. Because some customers might already have custom fields in use that serve the same purpose as these new fields at the time of release, it's important to understand the options available to manage this change in your company's account.

Answer

What are the new fields?

Priority. A multi-select field that includes values (Low, Medium, High, Urgent) to help the RFI manager to manage their RFI registry based upon urgency.

Proposed Solution. A rich text field that enables the RFI creator to provide insight into how to potentially resolve the situation. This field aligns with industry RFI standards.

Where will I see these fields in the RFI tool?

When the 'Priority' and 'Proposed Solution' fields are enabled on an RFI fieldset, both will appear when editing, viewing, and exporting RFIs. The 'Priority' field will also appear in the RFIs tool list view.

How will this impact Procore's Mobile Applications?

Both fields will appear in the RFIs tool on the iOS and Android applications for any projects to which they are added.

How will the RFIs tool REST API be Affected? (Procore Developers)

Both new fields will surface in the API like other non-custom RFI fields (for example, “subject” or “question”), and will appear in the Request or Response body depending on the call being made. There is no significant change or net new calls required to work with these new fields. Upon release, the RFIs Rest API documentation will be updated to include these fields.
