What is a 'sensitive field' in Resource Planning?

Background

When adding people or projects to Resource Planning, you can create custom fields to store relevant information. Some information may be sensitive and not suitable for all users. To address this, you can designate certain fields as sensitive, making them visible only to users with the appropriate permission level.

Answer

Who can see sensitive fields?

Sensitive fields can only be seen by people with permission to them in their Resource Planning permissions template:

  • To view sensitive fields about people, users need the 'View People Sensitive Fields' granular permission in the Resource Planning tool.

  • To view sensitive fields about projects, users need the 'View Project Sensitive Fields' granular permission in the Resource Planning tool.

See Create Permissions Templates for Resource Planning.

Which fields can be configured as sensitive?

Any custom fields that you create for people or projects can be set as sensitive fields. See Configure Custom Fields for Resource Planning.
