Add and Manage Internal Notes in a Bid Board Project
Objective
To add or manage internal notes in a project that was created in the Estimating, Bid Board, or Portfolio Planning tool.
Things to Consider
Required User Permissions for the Bid Board tool.
Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.
When using the Estimating tool, internal notes are only available for projects that originated in the Bid Board tool. See Add a Bid Board Project to the Portfolio Tool.
When you @ mention a user in your note, they receive an email notification.
Deleting a note is permanent and the note cannot be recovered.
Steps
Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
OR
Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.Click the Overview tab.
Follow the steps below for the available actions:
Add an Internal Note
Edit an Internal Note
Delete an Internal Note
Add an Internal Note
In the Notes section, click the add
icon.
Enter your note.
Note:You can mention a user by typing the @ symbol on your keyboard and selecting their name from the list.
Links added to notes will appear as clickable hyperlinks. Other text formatting is not supported.
Click Create.
Edit an Internal Note
In the Notes section, locate the note you want to edit.
Click the vertical ellipsis
icon on the note.
Click Edit.
Update the note.
Click Save.
Delete an Internal Note
In the Notes section, locate the note you want to delete.
Click the vertical ellipsis
icon on the note.
Click Delete.
Note: Deleting a note is permanent.Click Delete to confirm that you want to permanently delete the note.
