Search for and Filter Photos
Objective
To search for a photo in your project's Photos tool.
Things to Consider
Required User Permissions:
'Read Only' permissions or higher on the project's Photos tool.
Additional Information:
Procore will automatically categorize uploaded photos containing specific categories. You can then enter one of these categories as a search term to locate photos for that category. See Search for Types of Photos Using Smart Search below.

Search
Search for Photos
Navigate to your project's Photos tool.
Enter a word or phrase in the Search bar. The following fields can be searched:
From the Timeline or Map View* Filename* Description* Comments* Location* Trade
From the Album View* Album name* Photos within albums* Filename* Description* Comments* Location* Trade
Click Search.
Search for Types of Photos Using Smart Search
Procore intelligently labels photos when they are uploaded so that you can search for them by category term later. Photo detection begins upon upload and may take up to 15 minutes for categories to be applied.
Navigate to your project's Photos tool.
Enter one of the following terms into the Search bar:
Note: The search terms are not case-sensitive, but the spelling must be exact.Piping
Aerial
Framing
Paper
Electrical
PPE or personal protective equipment
Fencing
Retail
Earthwork
Facade
Overhead
FFE or furniture fixtures equipment
Bathroom
Heavy machinery
Rebar
Nighttime
Click Search.
Filter
Filter Photos by Property
Navigate to your project's Photos tool.
Click Add Filter and select from the the following options:
Location* Search for photos that are not associated with a location by selecting, 'None'.* Include photos that have sub locations attached to the location you're searching by clicking, 'Include Sub-Locations'.
Starred
Privacy
Note: You must have 'Admin' permissions to use the Privacy filter.Date Taken
Uploaded Date
Uploaded By
Album
Note: This is only shown in Timeline view.
In the menu, click the filter property you want to filter by.
Click out of the menu to apply.
Filter Photos by Map View
To filter photos by map location, click the Map tab.
On the map, click Map Filter.
Select In View, to only see items in the current map area.
Select In Geofence, to see items within a geofence.
Click your mouse to draw the boundaries of your geofence, with your final click ending at your first click, to create an enclosed area.
