Update Procore Drive

Objective

To update the Procore Drive application on your computer to the latest version.

Background

Procore periodically releases updates for the Procore Drive application. It is recommended to always use the latest version. To verify that you're using the latest version, check the version number shown in your app against the most recent version number in the Procore Drive release notes.

If you do not have the latest version of Procore Drive, follow the steps below to update your version.

Things to Consider

Procore Drive should update automatically in the background.

It is recommended that soon after a release is announced, you open, close, and then re-open the app so that it automatically updates to the newest version.

Steps

Automatic Update

Procore Drive should update automatically in the background. However, to complete the installation of the new version, you must restart Procore Drive. Follow these steps to ensure the automatic update is functioning.

  1. Open Procore Drive.

  2. Log in with your credentials. See Log into Procore Drive.

  3. Click the bell icon.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the side panel. If a Procore Drive update is available, click Restart Now. This automatically downloads the latest version to your computer and restarts Procore Drive after the installation is complete.

Manual Update

If you notice you are not running the latest version of Procore Drive and your application is not automatically updating, you can follow these steps to manually update your version of Procore Drive.

  1. Close Procore Drive.

  2. Click this link to download the latest version of Procore Drive.

  3. When the download is complete, the installer should launch automatically. If it does not launch, you can open the installer in one of the following methods:

    • From your browser:* Go to the 'Downloads' area of your browser, and click ProcoreDriveSetup.exe.

    • From your computer:1. Locate the ProcoreDriveSetup.exe file in the 'Downloads' area of your computer, and click ProcoreDriveSetup.exe.

  4. Wait for the installer to complete.
    Notes:

    • This process will uninstall your current version of Procore Drive and install the latest version.

    • If your current version was installed as an administrator, the installer might prompt you for an administrator password.

  5. When the installation is complete, Procore Drive launches automatically. If it does not launch, double-click the Procore Drive icon on your computer's desktop. You can now log in to your account and start using Procore Drive. See Log in to Procore Drive.

  6. Verify that you are using the latest version by checking the version number shown on your app against the most recent version number in the Procore Drive release notes.
