Set the Default Start/Stop and Lunch Time for Project Time Entries

This page details a feature that is not yet available in the Project level Timesheets tool.

Objective

To define the default Start Time, Stop Time, and Lunch Time for the employee time entries on a project.

Background

Procore's Company level Timesheets tool provides you with the ability to configure a default Start Time, Stop Time, and Lunch Time on all the timecards in a project's timesheet. Configuring this settings is beneficial when you want to:

  • Reduce the amount of time it takes your employees to create a time entries.

  • Help to ensure your employee's time entries reflect the expected shift times and meal breaks.

Procore's default Start Time & Stop Time is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, your field employees actually work from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and includes a 30 minute meal break.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Timesheets tool.

  • Additional Information:

    • You can set one (1) default Start/Stop/Lunch entry per project.

    • Employees can change the default entries when completing their time entries.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company level Timesheets tool.

  2. Click the Configure Settings icons-settings-gear.png icon.

  3. Under 'Time Entry Settings,' select Start and Stop Time from the Time Entry drop-down list.
    This action reveals the 'Start Time,' 'Stop Time,' and 'Default Lunch Time' fields.

  4. Complete the following:

    • Start Time. Select the desired time from the drop-down list. Procore's default start time is 8:00 AM.

    • Stop Time. Select the desired stop time from the drop-down list. Procore's default stop time is 5:00 PM.

    • Default Lunch Time. Select the default lunch time. Procore's default lunch time is 0 minutes.

  5. Click Update.
