How do we enforce invoice compliance requirements in Procore Pay? (Review)
Answer
Procore Pay provides flexible compliance options, leaving the choice to enforce requirements (or not) up to you:
Centralized templates that maintain project-level control. Procore Pay centralizes invoice compliance through the compliance templates feature in the Company level Admin tool. Although you can build many templates, only one (1) can be applied to each project, and project teams cannot change those defined compliance requirements. They always appear in a new commitment or invoice until changed in the template. This setup addresses the need for diverse compliance requirements on different project types and maintains your company's project-level control. See Create Compliance Templates for Projects as a Company Admin.
Example
If your company manages public and private sector projects, create a compliance template for each sector. Then, apply the appropriate template to your public or private sector projects.
Flexible choices that let Payment Admins enforce soft or hard payment requirements. Payments Admins choose to enforce strict or lenient payment requirements when configuring the Payment Requirements settings in the Payments tool. They also have the option to waive the requirement for commitments and invoices. To learn more, see Configure Payment Requirements as a Payor.
Automated compliance checks and visual displays in Invoice Management and Procore Pay. When a compliance template is assigned to a project, the template contains the specific requirements that commitments or subcontractor invoices must meet. When those commitments and invoices are saved in Procore's Invoice Management tools, the system captures the relevant data monitoring. Item statuses also update to help teams know whether payment requirements are met or missing. To learn more, see View Payment Requirements as a Payor.
